Summer Programs on College Campuses

ASAP is a student-centered college access and persistence program based at Mission High School focused on getting students to and through college. We don't just work with the highest achieving students, but encourage all students to realize their full potential for college completion.

Our program is working! Over the past 2 years, 3x more ASAP students have completed BA/BS degrees, and ASAP has supported 75% of Mission High alumni who have graduated from college.

We sent over 160 students to summer programs on college campuses summer of 2016. Students get to attend overnight academic and/or sports camps in the Bay Area and across the nation. They get invaluable sports training, bonding with teammates, and a taste of living on a college campus.

Here are the programs we sent students to in the summer of 2017, for over 150 students:

Univeristy of Texas-Austin's Longhorns Sports Medicine Camp is a great way to prepare high school students to pursue Athletic Training at college or as a career.

Students receive a comprehensive overview of all aspects of Athletic Training from learning anatomy, to receiving one-on-one instruction in the latest taping techniques, injury evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation, and emergency management.

On top of this, they get a chance to experience the college atmosphere and meet others with a similar interest from all over the country.
