Athletic Scholars Advancement Program (ASAP) is an individualized, on-site college counseling and mentorship program at Mission High School in San Francisco. Our mission is to create and cultivate a college-bound culture, focused on getting students getting to and through college.
ASAP provides access to college summer programs, one-on-one mentoring, individualized academic guidance and college counseling services.
We help our students get acquainted with college life by encouraging them to sending them to attend summer academic and athletic programs at both local and national colleges, at no cost to them.
Summer CamPs at Colleges
ASAP provides students with full scholarships to attend summer programs (academic, leadership-building or sports-related residential programs on college campuses) to experience college and meet new people. Past schools include UC Berkeley, Saint Mary's, Cornell, Columbia, etc. Come use our computers , get help from volunteers for applications, and enjoy!
PRE-COLLEGE SUPPORT/College Access Mentoring
ASAP provides students with academic assistance to improve grades and develop academic potential. We also have our own Junior advisory that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays. The goal is to start early and prepare for the upcoming college process in senior year, including researching campuses, starting on personal statements and SAT prep with @KhanAcademy.
Once in college, our new college mentoring program matches college freshmen with older alumni to assist newer students with the transitioning, navigating and succeeding in college. We also offer college scholarships that foster continued connecting with ASAP throughout college.
