The Stanford Haas Center for Public Service and the Stanford Bookstore have partnered together with ASAP to create the Laptop Donation Program. Executive Director Liz Butler Steyer and Program Assistant Vivian Wong both graduated from Stanford and hoped their alma mater could help supply gently used laptops to ASAP students in need.
Huge thanks to Jeff Deutsch and his team at the Bookstore for their enthusiasm and to Jim Murray from the Haas Center for his help in facilitating the process! Together, we’ve created a sustainable campaign to supply working laptops to low-income students while reducing e-waste. Donors who donate through the Bookstore can receive a 10% coupon off one item — in addition to our student’s gratitude.
